Hi, I’m Mel!

Life Transition Coach. Notion Template Creator. Scientist. Creator of The Intentional Pause™.

I'm an Erickson-trained Professional Coach, having completed the Level 2 Art & Science of Coaching through Erickson Coaching International, an International Coaching Federation (ICF)-accredited coach training program. I also hold a B.S. in Cellular & Molecular Biology. My background taught me to approach challenges with curiosity, ask thoughtful questions, and look beyond the obvious, which are qualities that continue to shape the way I coach today. I'm also fully fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing me to coach clients comfortably in either language.

My own life transition inspired The Intentional Pause™, a coaching framework built around something I learned firsthand: some of life's biggest decisions aren't meant to be rushed. Giving myself permission to intentionally pause transformed the direction of my own life, and today I help others navigate seasons of uncertainty with greater clarity, self-trust, and intention.

Alongside coaching, I'm also the founder of The Productivity Pixie, where I design Notion templates used by thousands of people around the world. Building my business has allowed me to combine my love of science, creativity, and problem-solving to create practical tools that help people bring more clarity and organization into their lives.

At the heart of everything I do is a genuine curiosity about people. I love understanding how we think, why we make the decisions we do, and what helps us create lives that feel more intentional. Whether through coaching or creating resources, my goal is to help people move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and intention.

The Life Transition That Changed Everything

Before I ever guided others through The Intentional Pause™, I had to experience one of the biggest life transitions of my own.

For years, I believed I had my future figured out. I spent nearly a decade working toward a career in healthcare before realizing it wasn't the life I truly wanted. Walking away from that dream meant letting go of an identity I'd spent years building, and for the first time, I had no idea what came next.

Instead of rushing into another decision, I gave myself permission to pause. That season of reflection ultimately changed the direction of my life and became the foundation for the coaching framework I use today.

If you'd like to know the full story, I'd love to share it with you

A Few Things About Me

My name is actually Melitza, but most people just call me Mel.

Singing is my favorite hobby. If you hear someone putting on a full concert in their apartment, there's a very good chance it's me.

Whenever life gets overwhelming, I usually reach for my journal. It's one of the ways I slow down, process what I'm experiencing, and reconnect with myself.

I genuinely love meaningful conversations. I'm fascinated by how people think, what shapes our decisions, and the stories that make us who we are.

I'm naturally curious. Whether it's psychology, coaching, science, or simply trying to better understand people, I love learning and doing my own research.

I'm fully fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows me to coach clients in whichever language feels most comfortable to them.

I'm happily married to my wonderful husband, who has supported me through every step of my own journey.
